Update - France Star To Become Arsenal’s First Summer Signing

Arsenal are set to complete their first signing of the summer with Mathieu Debuchy arriving from Newcastle United, according to reports in France.
Arsene Wenger has long admired the right-back, who would replace Man City-bound Bacary Sagna, and appears to have finally got his man.

The Gunners were also scouting Toulouse sensation Serge Aurier, but he now looks likely to be heading to Paris Saint-Germain, allowing them to focus on completing a move for the Toon star.

Debuchy, currently at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with France, has spent a year and a half on Tyneside after joining in a £5.5million from Lille.

The 28-year-old played 46 times in that time scoring one goal, which came in a 2-1 defeat to rivals Sunderland last October.
