Arsenal are ready to test Juventus' resolve with a £11m bid for defender Daniele Rugani.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Italian football and has been likened to former greats Alessandro Nesta and Fabio Cannavaro.
The centre-back has spent this season on loan at Empoli from Juventus and his performances have not gone unnoticed.
Playing at the heart of their defence, Rugani has helped newly-promoted Empoli defy the odds and climb to 15th in Serie A.
And now, according to Sport Italia, Arsenal are preparing a summer swoop of £11m for the Italy Under-21 international.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked in the past too, but Juventus are still hopeful they can persuade the youngster that his future lies in Turin.
