But Ligue 1 giants Monaco want to sell the 29-year-old, and according to French newspaper L'Equipe, several teams from England's top flight are chasing the former Atletico Madrid man - despite having seen United ship the striker out at the first opportunity.
Falcao earns around £10m-a-year at the Stade Louis II and the club's hierarchy believe there are younger and less expensive options which could fit the bill and satisfy the requirements of UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations.
Italian duo AC Milan and Juventus are both also interested in his signature.
