And ex-United forward Dublin believes new boss Louis van Gaal should return for the 21-year-old, who is currently impressing with France at the World Cup in Brazil, this summer.
“Paul Pogba is exactly the sort of player Manchester United need,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show.
“He’s got energy, spark and a hunger Rooney has, he’s also very brave. He comes with a badboy image but he’s a quality footballer. Man United should get him back.”
